HOW OFTEN SHOULD I HAVE MY LAWN MOWED?
Most lawns look their best when mowed every 1–2 weeks during the growing season. The exact timing depends on grass type, weather, and how fast it’s growing. We can tailor a schedule to keep your lawn healthy and neat. During winter you should cut your grass one notch lower than you do in summer. This will allow better airflow through the grass and will prevent moss growth in the lawn.
DO YOU PROVIDE FERTILIZING AND WEED CONTROL?
Yes! We offer fertilizing, weed control, and lawn care treatments alongside mowing to keep your lawn lush, green, and free of unwanted weeds. We recommend not letting people or pets outside on the lawn for at least 1 day after treatment.
WHAT SIZE LAWNS DO YOU SERVICE?
We service lawns of all sizes—from small residential yards to larger properties. Contact us for a free assessment and quote.
CAN YOU MOW IF I HAVE GARDEN BEDS, TREES, OR TRICKY EDGES?
Absolutely! We’re experienced with lawns that have trees, garden beds, and edges, and we always take care to protect your plants while giving your lawn a neat finish.
DO YOU SEND OUT A REMINDER BEFORE EACH TREATMENT?
Yes, We will send you an email or text prior to your next scheduled visit to remind you.
DO I HAVE TO LOCK IN TO FORTNIGHTLY MOWS ALL YEAR ROUND?
No, Luke's Lawns does not lock you into a fixed fortnightly contract. We provide a flexible, on-going service.
DO I NEED TO BE HOME WHEN YOU MOW MY LAWN?
Not at all. Most clients don’t need to be home. We can arrange access, and we’ll leave your lawn looking neat and tidy.
HOW DO YOU HANDLE WET OR OVERGROWN LAWNS?
We aim to mow lawns at their healthiest, but very wet or overgrown lawns can require extra care. In these cases, we may adjust the schedule or mow in stages to protect the lawn and equipment.
WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE?
We use modern, battery-powered and petrol mowers, designed to give a clean, even cut while being quieter and more environmentally friendly than traditional equipment.
DO YOU CATCH AND REMOVE GRASS?
Yes! We always remove clippings in standard on-going service and leave your lawn and surrounding areas neat, so your garden looks its best.
